I know I always say that I'll be better at keeping my blog up to date, but I think I need to come to terms with the fact that I'm a "once and a while" blogger! That's okay with me! We had a few people wait for us to announce the birth of our little boy, Tyler, on our blog, but I only put a few pictures on facebook!
Here's our announcement:
Tyler joined our family on July 20th around 5:50 in the morning. Isnt he so cute! Jace and Tyler are so cute together, though Jace is just now calling Tyler his friend; he has always been very kind to him. The other day Jace and I were walking to get Tyler up from his nap and Jace asked, "Mom do we get to keep our baby?" and I said "Yes, we get him forever!" to which Jace said "oh good I dont want to give him back to the doctors."
I also had a few people ask about delivery! So you if you dont want to know skip, actually I dont have a lot to tell. I woke up at about 1:30 a.m. and knew that things were going to happen quickly (call it women's intuition). We left for the hospital a little before 2. The nurse was surprised by how far along I was and still talking, laughing, and telling jokes (the birthing classes told me I would be in too much pain to joke around but actually I was in a really good mood considering all the pain i was in!) After getting checked in and waiting for the doctor we only had about 30 minutes to wait for the baby to join our family. Yes I had a non-medicated delivery. I know what its like for delivering with and without an epidural and despite all the pain I was still very much aware of the joy of the situation. When preparing for it, I was told how one way or the other was more enjoyable than the other, and I (see its my opinion and to each their own) think that is just because we want to believe one is better. I would deliver without again but I would also choose an epidural depending on the situation. My reason where mainly because our insurance wouldn't have covered much and epidurals are expensive.
Here I am about four hours after giving birth! Dont I look great! haha. I felt great and it was up there with best days ever! I wasn't even tired, it took me about 2 days to come down from the adrenaline high or whatever it was that kept me from feeling tired (It helps to get to sleep while nurses took care of the baby!).
So there it is! My really late Birth day announcement! Tyler is amazing! I love my family of four and I'm enjoying every moment of all the crazy chaos that has come with having a new baby.
